Every Teacher Needs to Know
Meet Me
Hi! I’m Michelle – the face behind The Colorful Classroom. My mission is to equip elementary teachers with SOR-aligned tips, tools, and strategies for strong literacy instruction. I not only want to encourage you to teach WITH color in multisensory ways, but to BE colorful – showing up for your students with rich vibrancy & brilliance, in order to ultimately make the biggest impact on their literacy development.
I have over a decade of experience in literacy-centered roles – as a small group reading interventionist and an instructional literacy coach. I’ve spent hundreds of hours in training and self-study, with dozens upon dozens of books under my belt. I’m Orton Gillingham trained, currently on a LETRS training journey, and dedicated to being a lifelong learner. There is no greater joy than helping YOU grow in your teacher knowledge about the Science of Reading!
